Happy Friday! Lots of fun things to share!
I totally stole the title of today’s post from my sister, who blogs at LoveLettersWithCoffee. Such a cute blog and her posts are really great. I look forward to reading them every morning.
Today’s Five Favorite Things:
1. Free stuff.
Today is Giveaway Day at my friend and fellow author/agency-mate (as she put it!) Melissa Tagg’s site Tagglines. She writes romantic fiction and her debut novel Made to Last releases in September!
I was a guest on her blog Wednesday. Did you miss it? It’s okay, I still love you. Here’s the link: Welcome Mat Wednesday: Bethany Jett.
Check out her site to enter to win some books. Her post is on Tim Tebow – the only good thing to wear blue and orange. Go Noles.
2. Senior Breakfast.
Every year (for two years now!) we take our senior graduates out for breakfast, kind of like a last hurrah. I remember when some of these kids were in middle school, and seeing them all grown up brings a tear to my eye.
This was one of our biggest graduating classes from our youth group. There were 12 total, but some of them couldn’t make it this morning. I still love you all.
3. iHome speakers
These puppies are my favorite electronic accessory. Plug them in the headphone jack of your iPad, iPhone, MacBook, or your favorite device with a headphone jack, and you have instant volume. The volume on my computer at it’s highest level is only about half of what the speakers do.
It’s great to drown out the sound of kids fighting playing in the background.
4. Scentsy
I love Scentsy products. The plug-in warmers are my favorite, and I want one for every room in my house. The cubes of smell-good-wonderfulness are amazing, and superior to the cheaper versions found at Walmart. We have the Walmart ones in our youth room and they don’t compare.
I even had one kid leave our house after a Movie Monday and tell me the next day that his mom asked what we used because he smelled so good when he got in her car!
I love the value, the designs, and most of all, the deliciousness of the air when I walk into the room. You can find a Scentsy rep near you by going to their website and entering your zip code.
5. Sugar Crush.
Don’t roll your eyes.
I love this game/app because it’s candy, a rip-off of Bejeweled, and it’s like chess, in the sense that you have to think a few steps ahead. I was on level 65 for over two weeks. I couldn’t win. So I bought extra lives for $1. Don’t tell my husband.
