[guestpost]You can be a Christian teen and do cool things for God. I’m so excited to have Maddie Rey share her testimony today. Get ready for some awesome![/guestpost]
As a little girl I was always performing for my parents.
I remember my dad would play a “pretend” drum roll and announce me as I strolled out in front of my audience which was my mom, dad and any other guest that “just so happened to be there!”
My parents always made me feel like I could do anything and as I look back now, I see how they encouraged my talents and gave me the confidence that I have today.
My name is Madison Reyes, however, I have gotten used to my stage name “Maddie Rey”!
I’m a sophomore in high school and I have my own Christian Kids TV Show. I never would have thought my days of performing for my mom and dad would turn into performing in front of a camera and on stage! I am so amazed at how much God is using me and the opportunities He has given me to help minister to other young people.
So many young people take their gifts and talents and sell out to the world, instead of using them for God’s purpose. I learned when I was young that my gifts and talents were to be used by God to advance His Kingdom.

I do various things such as my TV Show, singing, rapping, dancing, and performing as my ministry. When I go on stage or in front of the camera, the one thing I try to do is not lift myself up and the things I can do but lift God up on what He can do through someone.
God can use anyone and it doesn’t matter how young you are. When I first started I was 12 years old, I wasn’t sure how God was going to use me. But I let Him mold me and shape me into what He wanted to so I could be an encouragement to other young people that want to live out loud for Him.
A lot of times you hear people share their testimonies of how God brought them out of the world and now they are living for God. I used to think “I don’t have a testimony like that.” To this day I can still remember what my dad told me when I was young. He said “the greatest testimony you can ever have is someone that never went out into the world but stayed in the church and lived their life completely for God.”
Isn’t that exciting to know!!!
You don’t have to “go out into the world.” At 15 years old, I can boldly tell you that I am not interested in what the world has to offer and I don’t need to experience partying, drinking, drugs or having sex. I live my life in pursuit of God and helping other young people pursue Him. [pullquote]God can use anyone and it doesn’t matter how young you are.[/pullquote]
If you are like me raised in church, I want to encourage you stay in the church and be that example to other young people, let that be your greatest testimony! Or maybe you have gone into the world. It’s okay, because now is the time to recommit your life to God and to go hard after Him! Your testimony can be that you never went back!
If you are a parent, I want to let you know how much of an impact my parents made in my life, and remember you are their greatest influence. There is always hope!

Meet Maddie Rey:
Being a PK (Preacher’s Kid), Madison has grown up in a ministry family and absolutely LOVES IT!!! She would tell you that it’s a lie that PK’s turn out this way or that way. She is so thankful that her parents have raised her in ministry because she has such compassion to serve people. Maddie has seen a little bit of everything in ministry, but the one thing that has stood out to her is “God is Faithful!” She loves God with all of her heart, soul, mind and strength!
Maddie ministers and performs to young people in church youth groups, children’s ministry, and Christian school chapel services across the nation. She is currently working on getting “The Maddie Rey Show” on National Christian Broadcasting stations so children and young people around the world can see that God can use young people in such a great way!
