For a pajamas-all-day-if-I’m-staying-home kinda gal, I’m starting to get in the spirit of Dressember — 31 days of dresses to help raise $25,000 for International Justice Mission. Let’s get some girls out of sex-trafficking, ya’ll.
Dress: Ambrielle
Sweater: Mossimo
Shoes: American Eagle ($3 at Payless)
Jewelry: Premier Designs
“Cabo” necklace and bracelet
I’ve had people ask questions about Dressember so here are a couple of answers.
1. It’s not 31 different dresses.
In fact, Blythe, who started Dressember in 2009, wears the same dress every day as a statement that anyone can do this regardless of the size of your wardrobe. She layers in a million (well…31…) cute different ways.
2. People donate through my dressember.net participant page. 100% of the monies donated goes to IJM. So far I have raised $0 of my goal of $100. If ten people want to get a $10 tax deduction for 2013, this is a GREAT cause!!!!
Random picture of the love of my life:
Ahhhhhh. We spent about ten minutes in each other’s company until I got home after 9 PM. I’ll take what I can get.
Back to Dressember.
3. Skirts are allowed if you wear them over dresses. However, I didn’t read the FAQs and wore skirts two days in a row. Fact: I really want to wear my skirts during Dressember but I am going to try to only do dresses from now on.
4. As demonstrated above, leggings, jeans, pants, and tights can be worn under the dresses.
